Pachysandra terminalis, commonly called Japanese pachysandra, is a shrubby, evergreen ground cover. Grows 8 in. to 12 in. high and spreads by rhizomes to form a dense carpet of rich, dark green foliage. Pachysandra thrives in the shade under large trees.
